WildBrain, Mattel Double The Fun With Greeenlights for New Seasons of Fireman Sam and Polly Pocket

WildBrain, a global leader in kids’ and family entertainment, and Mattel, Incorporated, announce new-season greenlights for beloved kids’ shows Sam the FiremanAnd Polly PocketBased on Mattel brands.


Fireman Sam (and Pontypandy Rescue Team), are back to save lives in the air, on land and at sea with two new animated CG seasons. Season 14 is expected to begin delivery in December 2022. Season 15 is expected begin delivery by June 2023. Each season has 26 episodes of 11 minutes each. The fresh seasons feature a host of nail-biting emergencies, plus newcomer Pilot Krystyna in a shiny new rescue plane, a freshly built airport, exciting upgrades to the team’s Jupiter fire engine and wonderful new friends to help!


Also returning is Polly Pocket, based on Mattel’s original micro-scale doll brand. Season 5 of Polly Pocket will be delivered March 2023. Polly shares her magic to the world. “pockite” with her friends—now they all have their own unique powers! Together they’ll explore fantastical, tiny worlds that are full of big surprises. The 2D-animated series’ new season will include 26 episodes of 11 minutes each and the release Polly Pocket: Sparkle Cove Adventure, which is a 66 minute special. In Sparkle Cove Adventure, Polly discovers the hidden world of Sparkle Cove—a marvelous, tropical island paradise and the origin of the magical “pockite”This gives Polly her shrinking ability. This will be Polly Pocket’s first special release since Mattel relaunched this brand in 2018.

New distribution deals

WildBrain has signed numerous streaming and broadcast agreements with ABC Kids (Australia), Fireman Sam, Polly Pocket, and ABC Kids (Australia). The new seasons are now available on ABC Kids Australia (Australia) as well as HOP! (Israel) have now acquired seasons 13-15. MiniMini+ Poland (Poland), Cartoonito UK & Ireland, and NRK Super Norway also acquired seasons 13 & 14. KiKA has acquired Fireman Sam season 13.


(Germany), Amazon Prime Video (UK, Ireland, Germany), Milkshake! (UK), RTE Jr. (Ireland), Cartoonito (Italy), France Télévisions (France), MiniMini+ (Poland), and Vudu (US).


Minimax (CEE excluding Poland), has taken Seasons 4, and 5. Seasons 3 & 4, which include POP (U.K.), Amazon Kids+(US), Discovery Kids (LatAm), Family Channel (Canada), teleTOON+ – Poland); Gulli M6 & Tiji, (France, French speaking EMEA); Cartoonito & Boomerang, (Italy & Turkey); SUPERRTL (Germany; Austria, Switzerland); KidZone TV, Baltics; BIGI (Israel); TVNZ, New Zealand; Vu (US); and EITB (US); Vudu (US); Vudu (US); Vudu (US); Vudu (US); Vudu (US); Vu (US); Vudu (US); Vudu (US); Vudu (US); Vudu (US); Vuu (US); Vu (US); Season 3 was also picked up by Amazon Prime Video (UK), France, Italy, and Astro (Malaysia, Brunei).


The new greenlights, distribution deals, and co-development agreements are part a multi-year, multi-year, co–development, production distribution and licensing agreement between Mattel, WildBrain. The new seasons of Fireman Sam and Polly Pocket are being produced at WildBrain’s Vancouver animation studio
