PAWTUCKET, R.I.–This year, the legendary BEYBLADE franchise hits the global stage and invites Bladers to prepare for the ultimate battle event at the 2018 BEYBLADE BURST World Championship. Global entertainment and play company Hasbro, Inc. has teamed up (NASDAQ.HAS), with SUNRIGHTS INC., d-rights Inc., and TOMY Company, Ltd., to search for the best BEYBLADE BURST blazers around the globe. They will then bring them together for the BEYBLADE BURST World Championship, which will take place at Kidexpo, Paris (France) on November 3, 2018.

BEYBLADE BURST BURNT EVOLUTION is the third generation in the BEYBLADE brand. This global phenomenon was born in Japan in 1999. The BEYBLADE BURST name is still the most loved in battling. It has sold over 10,000,000 tops in its third generation in over 20 countries (within Hasbro territories). The BEYBLADE BURST Starter Pack was one of the hottest toys in 2017, according to NPD, the BEYBLADE BURST Starter Pack was the #1 item in the Action Figures & Accessories Super category in G9 based on total sales in 2017*. Bladers can also digitally battle on the BEYBLADE BURST App, which has been used in over 300 million battles since its launch back in Fall 2016.
Bladers between the ages 8 and 13 will be tested at a series of BEYBLADE-BURST tournaments. They will then compete at the Paris head–to-head contest for the title BEYBLADE BURST Champ.

From March through September, there will be a series BEYBLADE BURST country championships where Bladers will compete for the right to represent their country at a global level. The BEYBLADE BURST International Championship will take place in Paris. The winners from each country will compete against each other to become the BEYBLADE BURST Global Champions.
Bladers can practice their skills in preparation for the tournaments with Hasbro’s dynamic BEYBLADE BURST product line, featuring the new BEYBLADE BURST SWITCHSTRIKE tops which allow fans to switch up their striking powers and customize the course of battle. The BEYBLADE BURST App is also available in the App Store for Android as well as Google Play for iOS. It allows users to take part in over 300 million online battles. They can test different top combinations in either head to head or multi-player tournament mode.
