James Brown Toy Giveaway is back as a drive-thru event in 2021

The deadlines to register for the James Brown Toy Giveaway are now.

The event coordinated by the James Brown Family Foundation will be conducted as a drive-thru for the second year, and will take place from 8-10 a.m. Dec. 18 in the James Brown Arena parking lot. It was moved to a drive-thru giveaway last year due to COVID-19 precautions.

Elif Crawford, the event coordinator said that 1,254 children attended the 2020 event. This is twice the number as previous years. 

Register to participate in the giveaway Register all children between the ages 1 and 10 by their guardians or parents.

Online and in-person registrations available. In-person registration will be 9-11 a.m. Nov. 13 and Nov. 20 at James Brown Arena with ID and Social Security cards. It is mandatory that you cover your face when entering the building.

Online registration will be possible Nov. 5 – 5. www.jamesbrownfamilyfdn.org/toy2021. The link will also go live that day. Online registrations must present ID and Social Security card at pickup.
